‘No Vans Mary’, a 2009 unreleased album by Midnight Oil’s Jim Moginie, has been made available for a limited time.
At Bandcamp Jim says, “It is essentially a Jim solo record, me playing and writing everything with some great musicians: Suzy Flowers, Elizabeth Geyer, Luke Bonic and Kevin Kelley.
“I’d actually describe it as my lost second solo album. I don’t know that it should be ever found having said that…
“It’s a first attempt at this type of acoustic/folk genre, if you like. Without trying to sound apologetic (I really like it), it’s another musical thread to anything resembling traditional Irish music”.
Face Off. Jim and Seamus have merged.
My 2009 ‘lost’ album ‘No Vans Mary’ has now been found and is up on bandcamp for download, stream or limited edition CD.
See the linked page for an explanation of this bizarre event, and mea culpa.
