Triple J could possibly gain their first Albums chart national No.1 this week, as the ninth volume of the “Like a Version” album could potentially debut at the top this week.
But it has stiff competition from Lorde and “Pure Heroine”, as she is touring the country at the moment, whilst James Blunt’s fourth album “Moon Landing” also has the potential to become his third No.1 album here. Another tourist in the form of Imagine Dragons have just re-issued and re-packaged their “Night Visions” (TW-35) album, and it could rebound into the Top 10 this week alongside the debut for the new Tina Arena album “Reset”.
Danny Brown with Old and the new album for AFI entitled “Burials” could both debut within the Top 20 this week, whilst Beyonce kicked off her ‘Ms Carter’ shows in Melbourne this week, and that could see her four albums all return to the Top 50 this week, with “4” and “I Am… Sacha Fierce”, leading the pack at the moment.
With the Paul Kelly dock screening this coming weekend on the ABC, his “Songs from the South – Greatest Hits” set could return to the Top 50 this week thanks to the promo’s, with lower fifty entries possibly coming from the “About Time” soundtrack and the 2010 self-titled album for A.G.T. contestants Uncle Jed possibly cracking the charts for the first time.
SINGLES
Katy Perry’s pending album and promo visit could keep her “Roar”ing at the No.1 spot for a ninth week, but she has competition from this weeks No.2 single “Hey Brother” by Avicii and X-Factor contestant Taylor Henderson’s version of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”.
Pitbull and Ke$ha could climb with “Timber” and retaining their Top 10 status should be Nathaniel Willemse with “You”, Miley Cyrus with “Wrecking Ball”, James Blunt and “Bonfire Heart”, Redfoo’s “Let’s Get Ridiculous” whilst being joined by current tourists Imagine Dragons with “On Top of the World” (first time in the Top 10) which they also performed on X-Factor this past week.
Possible highest new (non XF) entry is Lady GaGa featuring R. Kelly with her second ArtPop single “Do What U Want” somewhere within the Top 20, with Eminem’s “Rap God” looking set to jump into the Top 20 after debuting at No.40 this past week. Current visitors to our shores Little Mix could also debut within the twenty with their new single “Move”, whilst A.G.T. act Uncle Jed could debut within the Top 30 with their rendition of Ed Sheeran’s “Give Me Love”, with their version of Matt Corby’s “Brother” possibly returning to the lower Top 50.
From the forthcoming film “One Chance” is the new Taylor Swift track “Sweeter Than Fiction” which could debut within the Top 40, with Ellie Goulding and “How Long Will I Love You” (TW-63) jumping up into the forty and Justin Bieber entering with two entries this week, the first as guest on the Tyga track “Wait for a Minute” (Top 40) and his weekly release of new tracks “Hold Tight” (Top 50). Imagine Dragons could also enter the fifty with their new track “Demons”, as too Iggy Azalea and T.I. with their current UK Top 10 single “Change Your Life”, and Tina Arena with “You Set Fire to My Life” helped by her new album and ‘Sunday Night’ interview.
Classified and Olly Murs should climb into the Top 60 with “Inner Ninja” (TW-82), as too Pink and “Walk of Shame”. Dami Im’s version of Miley’s “Wrecking Ball” could enter the Top 60-70 and so too should Flume with Stalley on “Intro”. Also possible entries could come from The Jezabels with “The End”, Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger with “Let Me Go”, Lady Antebellum and “Compass”, Bella Ferraro and Will Singe with “Forgot You”, X-Factor act Taylor Henderson with his version of the Jason Mraz song “I Won’t Let You Go”, with Jason’s version also possibly re-entering, and the final new entry could come from Afrojack with Spree Wilson and “The Spark”.
