James Blunt’s promo visit here and subsequent appearance on X-Factor and last Sunday’s returning Graham Norton show could give James his first No.1 single in Australia with “Bonfire Heart”, just ahead of his album “Moon Landing” (18th Oct) being released.
James has previously reached No.2 with “You’re Beautiful” (peaked Nov 2005) and when “Bonfire Heart” jumped up seventy places to No.5 this week, it gave him his fourth Top 10 single, whilst another leaper from last week, Avicii’s “Hey Brother” (93 to 14) could leap again this week and land within the top three whilst battling it out with former leader “Roar” by Katy Perry.
Nathaniel Willemse could jump up from his No.9 debut with “You” and into the Top 5, whilst the just announced cancelled tour for Ke$ha and Pitbull won’t stop the sales of their collaboration song “Timber”, which could debut within the Top 10 this week. Holding their placing within the ten this week should be Miley Cyrus, Redfoo, Jessica Mauboy, whilst Jason DeRulo could replace himself in the Top 10 as “Talk Dirty” drops down to be replaced by “Marry Me” (TW-15).
James Arthur looks set to debut with his second single “You’re Nobody Till Somebody Loves You” which he performed on X-Factor this past week, and it could bring his first hit “Impossible” back into the Top 40. Havana Brown also appeared on the show and her new single “Warrior” (TW-32) could become a Top 20 entrant, whilst Calvin Harris with Alesso & Hurts could see a debut for his new single “Under Control” within the twenty.
Eminem debuted at No.61 with “Survival” this past week, and the new track could leap up into the Top 20 this week, whilst another new track from “Marshall Mathers 2 LP” could debut right near it, entitled “Rap God”. Taylor Henderson looks like scoring the highest X-F performance for this week, as his version of “One Crowded Hour” by Augie March could debut in the high-end of the Top 30 (the original could be back within the Top 50 too), whilst also landing within that area is the new track for Justice Crew entitled “Everybody” and this weeks new track from Justin Bieber entitled “All That Matters”.
In the lower end of the chart Little Mix could see their new single “Move” debut (Top 60), with rappers YG, Jeezy & Rich Homie Quan and their track “My N***a” possibly entering in the high Top 70 area. Pink and her “Walk of Shame” (TW-85) should jump up again this week, whilst Gotye could return with his massive track “Somebody That I Used to Know” after the X-Factor performance by Jiordan Tolli, with her version also charting, and the X-F Aussie songs edition could see “Battle Scars” for Guy Sebastian, “You’re the Voice” sung by Dami and “Plans” by Birds of Tokyo also re-enter or climb this week. Finally another reality show contestant could debut with a non-The Voice entry, as Steve Clisby from this season of The Voice has been singing the benefits of the a bank in their new ad, which could see his song “Three Little Letters” debut within the Top 100 this week.
Albums: It’s a three way struggle for the No.1 album in Australia this coming weekend, as current chart-topper Miley Cyrus with “Bangerz” and the prior No.1 “Pure Heroine” by Lorde are up against the new album for Pearl Jam entitled “Lightning Bolt”.
We could also see a return to the Top 10 for Avicii and “True” (TW-19) as his new single explodes, whilst Havana Brown could debut within the ten with her debut album “Flashing Lights”, with Drake returning and HAIM reclaiming a top ten position this week.
There could be Top 20 debuts for Bryan & Katie Torwalt with “Kingdom Come” and John Newman’s debut album “Tribute”, whilst the eight ARIA Award Nominations for Flume (TW-95) should see his self-titled album leap back up into the Top 20. The Game and the new album “OKE” could debut within the Top 30, as too could the Paul McCartney album “New”. There are possible Top 40 entries for Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard with “Beast” and Trivium with their new album “Vengeance Falls”.
There are also potential entries for the album “Calamari Tuesday” by Feed Me, the new self-titled album for Stonefield, Mayday Parade with “Monsters in the Closet” and Chase & Status could possibly enter with “Brand New Machine”.
