Avicii looks set for a sixth week at No.1 in Australia with his track “Wake Me Up”, whilst Lorde could retain the No.2 spot with her EP “The Love Club” featuring ‘Royals’, although the gap between the top two is closing.
Karmin could outdo their No.4 peak of last week with “Acapella” as it looks set to climb to No.3 whilst OneRepublic and Naughty Boy could retain their Top 5 status. MKTO could climb back up and into the Top 10 with “Classic” whilst there’s also the potential for a Top 10 debut from Flo Rida and Pitbull with their booty-loving track “Can’t Believe it”.
Zedd and Foxes could land just outside the Top 10 with “Clarity” whilst Passenger looks set for his second Top 20 hit as “Holes” could jump up into the Top 15, and after falling back last week, Jessica Mauboy could also jump into the lower Top 20 with her new single “To the End of the Earth”, helped by her recent media promotional onslaught. Returning to the Top 100 again after an X-Factor performance is Jason Mraz with “I Won’t Give Up” (Top 30) and the new Calvin Harris track “Thinking About You” could leave its lower Top 40 ranking and jump up to the 20-25 section of the chart.
The new Rihanna ballad “What Now” looks set for a Top 30 debut and there’s another X-Factor performed track returning to the same region, Birdy with “People Help the People”. AwolNation look on track for a Top 30 birth with “Sail”, and Jason DeRulo could possibly debut in the lower thirty region with his new track “Talk Dirty”. Mark Wilkinson could climb into the Top 40 with “Middle Ground”, as too could the new Robin Thicke track “Give it 2 U”, whilst the new track “Wild Child” by Elen Levon could debut in the 45-50 region of the chart.
The Cedric Gervais remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness” looks set to debut in the high 50-60 section of the charts, whilst Bastille could see their new track/EP “Laura Palmer” up that high too. Pez is back with a new track featuring Tys entitled “One Life”, and after debuting high last week, Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj could find their track “Love More” in the lower Top 60, whilst Dustin Tebbutt should jump up with “The Breach”.
Further new entries could come from “Burn for You” by John Farnham (XF performed), RUFUS with “Sundream”, Mary Lambert’s “She Keeps Me Warm” (the sample that Macklemore used for ‘Same Love’), Chvrches and “Gun”, Andy Bull with “Baby I Am Nobody Now” and after being used in ‘Winners & Losers’ on Tuesday night Jenny Morris could be back with her 1989 “She Has to be Loved” (HP-5)
Albums:
It could be a tussle at the top of the album charts this week between current and future tourists, as current tourist Pink and “The Truth About Love” is up against future visitors Imagine Dragons with their “Night Visions” album, although former tourist Passenger could finally break out of his No.2 holding pattern (four broken weeks in total at No.2 so far) with “All the Little Lights”.
Top 10 debuts could come from local hip-hop act Horrorshow with their third album “King Amongst Many”, which will be their first to chart and another local act Snakadaktal with their debut album “Sleep in the Water”.
Of Monsters and Men could jump again with “My Head is an Animal” after their recent shows and Michael Buble’s ticket sales could boost his album “To Be Loved” back up the charts along with his box-set collection of previous albums. US duo The Civil Wars could debut within the Top 20 with their second self-titled album (and first to chart here), with a Top 30 entry possible for “The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hello, Volume 1” for Five Finger Death Punch.
Further entries could come from Jay Sean with “Neon”, Mark Wilkinson’s “Hand Picked”, Christina Grimmie and “With Love”, Jasmine Rae and “If I Want to”, Pond with “Hobo Rocket” and the newly independent released Backstreet Boys album “In a World Like This”.
