Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton’s divorce is officially complete.
The pair announced on Monday July 20 they had called it quits on their marriage after being wed for four years.
And a source tells Us Weekly just hours after Miranda and Blake revealed their union is over, a judge in Oklahoma signed off on their divorce. Although it’s claimed Blake filed legal documents to end their marriage well ahead of their split announcement, it normally takes a few months for divorces to be officially granted in court.
Sources tell Radar Online the pair are handling their breakup very differently.
It’s claimed Blake has been boozing through the pain of his divorce, with the country singer even calling attention to his alcohol consumption via Twitter on July 17, three days ahead of the split announcement.
‘Good news! I can see clearly!! AND Cheyenne I’m headed for you!!! Actually my vision may be a little blurred by the end of the night. B***h,’ he tweeted.
Meanwhile Miranda is currently performing shows as part of her Platinum Tour.
‘Miranda is doing well right now and focusing on her music and her animals,’ a source told Radar Online.
The country singers married in May 2011 after meeting in 2005.
In their joint statement, Miranda and Blake said the divorce was something they had never envisioned in their future.
‘This is not the future we envisioned,” their representatives said in a statement to the Associated Press. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
This is Blake’s second divorce, as he was once married to longtime girlfriend Kaynette Gern, until they split after three years of marriage in 2006.
