The Impossible Orchestra is performing for 24hrs straight at Hamer Hall from 5pm this evening for Care Aware, a national communications initiative aimed at raising awareness of Australia’s unpaid carers.
With Musical Director Brett Kelly at the helm, over 270 musicians will be involved in the marathon concert, including players from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria and the Australian National Academy of Music. The event also promises appearances from numerous special guests.
Several comedians are also lending their support as hosts or guest musicians (or conductors), including Charlie Pickering, Josh Thomas, Tracy Bartram, Shaun Micallef and Francis Greenslade.

The event is designed to create community awareness about the 2.6 million unpaid family carers in Australia. For those that cannot attend, the concert will be streamed live via the Care Aware website.
The whole event will take place across 8 three hour sessions, Tickets for each session are free, but need to be booked via The Arts Centre website.
