Missy Higgins has the number one album in Australia this week after 15,321 fans went out and bought her ‘The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle’ album in the past week.
That figure beats recent number one debuts from Keith Urban, John Mayer and The Temper Trap by a sizeable amount. Mayer’s no. 1 debut last week was less than 10,000 and his ‘Born and Raised’ album dropped back to just over 3,200 sales in the second week.
Debut albums this week were Alan Jackson ‘Thirty Miles West’ at 6, Buried In Verona ‘Notorious’ at 20, The Bamboos ‘Medicine Man’ at 28, Neil Young & Crazy Horse ‘Americana’ at 34, Sam Sparro ‘Return To Paradise’ at 41 and Good Charlotte ‘Greatest Hits’ at 45.
