Molly’s family and friends had more good news about Ian Molly Meldrum today with Noise11.com being told, “he is still critical but everyone is cautiously optimistic”.
Molly has been in an induced coma for the past four days after falling off at ladder while hanging Christmas decorations at his Richmond home last Thursday.
While he is definitely not out of the woods at this stage his family and friends Brian Meldrum and Yael Cohn are feeling even more positive today.
Molly is on constant watch at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and we should hear something in the next 24-48 hours about the next steps in his recovery.
What we do know is that it will be a long time before the music guru is back to normal but based on the events of the past 24 hours there is no reason to believe he won’t eventually recover.
After the swelling in his brain goes down, there are other medical issues to attend to such as his broken shoulder and ribs but the medical team at The Alfred should be about to plan a timeline for the operations in the next few days.
Meanwhile, streaming channel Netdow.tv has set-up a really cool Molly Meldrum Tribute channel where users can upload highlights of Molly’s career and the content is then included in the Molly tribute channel.
Video currently in the channel includes the famous Prince Charles interview, appearances on Countdown by Madonna, Iggy Pop, Leo Sayer, Daryl Braithwaite, Glenn Shorrock and more, and more recent appearances on Sunrise and with Andrew Denton.
