Australian acts Monks of Mellonwah and Evol Walks are showcasing at the Global Rock Summit in Los Angeles this weekend.
Sydney’s Monks of Mellonwah have been spending considerable time in the USA of the past few years. The band formed when school friends . Formed in late 2009 by school friends Vikram Kaushik, Joseph de la Hoyde, Joshua Baissari and John de la Hoyde formed a common bond over their attraction to Pink Floyd, Muse, Led Zeppelin, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Evol Walks formed in Australia but are now based in Los Angeles. They are played with Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers and Dead Letter Circus and supported Everclear and The Presidents of The United States of America.
Evol Walks have been recording their latest record in Hollywood with Brian Howes (Simple Plan, Airbourne).
The Global Rock Summit was held in Hollywood on Friday and Saturday leading into Musexpo at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel from April 26-29, 2015.
