Stoner-rock gods, Monster Magnet, are coming back to Australia to play Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Across 9 albums and over 20 years, Monster Magnet, have built up a solid and dedicated fan base the world-over. Known for 90s hits such as ‘Pepper’, ‘Negasonic Teenage Warhead’ and ‘Space Lord’, the group have traversed genres such as punk, metal, space rock, all with a hint of psychedelia.
Monster Magnet’s latest album, ‘Last Patrol’, is a return to their roots.
“It’s full-on psychedelic space-rock with a 60’s garage feel, recorded almost exclusively with vintage guitars, amps and effects in our hometown of Red Bank, NJ. The songs are a kind of Space-Noir, tales of cosmic revenge, peaking libidos, alienation and epic strangeness. It’s a weird trip through the back alleys of a dark, retro-future, which not by coincidence very much resembles my own life,” said frontman Dave Wyndorf.
The tour will see the group play the biggest hits as well as a bunch of new stuff off ‘Last Patrol’.
