Morrissey has once again shown he has little good to say about the British royal family, stating that they are the ones responsible for the suicide of a nurse at the hospital where the Duchess of Cambridge was a patient.
The Duchess Of Cambridge was hospitalised for acute morning sickness last week when a pair of DJs from Australian radio station 2Day FM impersonated the Queen and her husband trying to get a line to Middleton’s room.
The nurse was the first to deal with the duo and passed them along to the floor where the duchess was staying.
The ensuing media frenzy and possible internal situations were blamed for the suicide of the nurse.
The British singer appeared on New Zealand’s 3 News where he said “There’s no blame placed at Kate Middelton who was in the hospital for, as far as I can see, absolutely no reason. She feels no shame about the death of this woman. She’s saying nothing about the death of this poor woman. The arrogance of the British royals is staggering, absolutely staggering; and why it’s allowed to be I don’t know.”
Morrissey went on to say that he was sure that the royal family “put maximum pressure on this poor receptionist and nurse, and of course that’s kept away from the press. I’m sure the British press hounded this poor woman to her death, and that’s kept away. By this time next week, she’ll be forgotten. And that’s how the British royals work.”
Media reports have said that the Royal Family was very sad about the nurses death and that they had not put any pressure on the hospital.
