The Mumford & Sons ‘Babel’ album has kept Muse ‘The 2nd Law’ from the top spot on the US album chart this week despite dropping 74% on last weeks sales.
Mumford & Sons ‘Babel’ became the fastest selling album of the year last week when it sold 600,000 units. According to HitsDailyDouble.com it has sold a further 157,000 this week.
Muse ‘The 2nd Law’ ended up with 100,000 sales this week to give the title a comfortable number 2 position although it was still 50,000 sales behind Mumford & Sons.
Other Top 10 debuts this week include Miguel ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’, Diana Krall ‘Glad Rag Doll’, Jackie Evancho ‘Songs From The Silver Screen’ and Cher Lloyd ‘Sticks & Stones’.
Van Morrison ‘Born To Sing: No Plan B’ will fall just outside of the Top 10.
Other debuts on the US chart this week are Papa Roach ‘Connection’, DJ Drama’ ‘Quality Street Music’, Heart ‘Fanatic’, Cody Simpson ‘Paradise’, Zedd ‘Clarity’ and Faith Evans ‘R&B Diva’.
