Muse Deliver New Song ‘Something Human’

Muse have released the new song ‘Something Human’ as a prelude to an album coming in November.

Rich Costey co-produced the song with the band. Mark ‘Spike’ Stent mixed it. The video was made by Lance Drake.

“Life on the road can bring out your inner beast, this song and video is about taming that beast, desiring a return to something human. Plus, Teen Wolf is cool,” says Matt Bellamy of Muse.

Lance Drake said, “Our aim with Something Human was to continue the journey that began in Dig Down and Thought Contagion. Pulling further into a simulated world we follow Matt, Dom, and, Chris on the chase of a lifetime – where something as simple as returning some video tapes becomes an epic journey.”

Muse played their last show on June 23, 2018 at Rock In Rio in Lisbon.

The setlist was:

(Drill Sergeant) (from Drones, 2015)
Psycho (from Drones, 2015)
Interlude (from Absolution, 2003)
Hysteria (from Absolution, 2003)
Plug In Baby (from Origin of Symmetry, 2001)
The 2nd Law: Isolated System (from The 2nd Law, 2012)
Dig Down (single, 2017)
Resistance (from The Resistance, 2009)
Supermassive Black Hole (from Black Holes and Revelations, 2006)
Stockholm Syndrome (from Absolution, 2003)
The 2nd Law: Unsustainable (from The 2nd Law, 2012)
Madness (from The 2nd Law, 2012)
Starlight (from Black Holes and Revelations, 2006)
Time Is Running Out (from Absolution, 2003)
Mercy (from Drones, 2015)

Encore:
Take a Bow (from Black Holes and Revelations, 2006)
Uprising (from The Resistance, 2009)
Knights of Cydonia (from Black Holes and Revelations, 2006)

The most recent Muse album was ‘Drones’ in 2015. The yet-to-be titled Muse album will come just over three years after ‘Drones’. It will be the eighth studio album for Muse.
