Melbourne rock band Zoophyte has signed with Mushroom Publishing.

Zoophyte recently completed their second album ‘Somewhere Elsewhere’ and has released the first single ‘Let You Go’.
Mushroom Publishing Managing Director Ian James has big plans for the band. “Mushroom Music is very pleased to announce the signing of Melbourne rock band Zoophyte. They have proved themselves to be an excellent live band on the road and the new songs have broad appeal. We expect their music will go down very well with the music supervisors at our two exclusive television shows – Home & Away and Neighbours,” he said.
‘Somewhere Elsewhere’ is a change of pace for the band following the release of ‘Another Point Of View’ in 2007. “The old format of the band was a five-piece and we were all into different styles and types of music,” says frontman Cam Lee, “But now, everyone is on the same track and it feels like a new band. It’s a much bigger, larger sound; we use a lot of delayed guitars and everyone sings – there’s definitely a stronger, rockier edge to our sound.”
