Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge has reportedly organised for Adele to give an intimate performance at her birthday party.
The royal will turn 34 on 9 January 2016 and she’s already said to have arranged what she wants to do on her special day. Large parties aren’t the mother-of-two’s scene, so instead she apparently reached out to the British singer as she has enjoyed her music for years.
“Kate has been a huge fan of Adele since her first album, 19, and decided to reach out to her after 25 was released,” an insider told Britain’s Heat magazine. “She asked her personal assistant to contact Adele’s management team in the hope she’d be available for a private performance to celebrate Kate’s birthday. Kate isn’t into birthdays, but is having a small soiree for close family and friends and is desperate to have Adele sing an acoustic version of her new material, plus a few of her old hits.”
The 27-year-old singer has a jam packed schedule at the moment as she is promoting her latest album release 25. It’s seen her performing a show in America and she’s preparing for a tour too, with tickets selling out just minutes after they went on sale and new dates quickly added. That apparently hasn’t stopped the star trying to make Catherine’s request work though.
“(She said she would be) honoured to do it, providing she could change a few things round in her schedule, and was going to do everything in her power to make it happen,” an insider said.
This comes as little surprise as Adele has previously spoken about how much she loves the British royal family. She said she’d like to have a night out with Prince Harry because he seems to fun, and she declared she “loves” Catherine because she thinks she’s “brilliant”.
