Ben Lee’s 2004 hit song ‘Gamble Everything For Love’ has been placed in an episode of The Blacklist.
In the closing scenes of ‘The Director’, the first show 2016, ‘Gamble Everything For Love’ is used at the climax of the episode before suspending the audience for Part 2 of the storyline next week.
The Blacklist episode ‘The Director’ has another musical tie-in. Mary Lambert who started out as a music video director directed the episode. Lambert directed Chris Isaak’s first music video ‘Dancin’ then Janet Jackson’s ‘Nasty’. Mary Lambert has also had a long association with Madonna directing the videos for ‘Borderline’, ‘Like A Virgin’, ‘Material Girl’, ‘La Isla Bonita’ and ‘Like A Prayer’. Over time she has also directed videos for Annie Lennox, Mick Jagger, Motley Crue, Debbie Harry, Tom Tom Club and Sting.
Lambert has also been a movie director, working with Stephen King for the movies ‘Pet Sematary’ and ‘Pet Sematary Two’.
The latest Ben Lee album ‘Love Is The Great Rebellion’ was released in 2015.
