And according to Entertainment Tonight, Beyonce will be singing Formation live when she graces the stage at the National Football League’s Super Bowl 50 Pepsi Halftime Show.
Beyonce headlined the Super Bowl 47 Halftime Show in 2013 and many consider her epic performance to be amongst the top ten best in the sporting event’s 49-year history.
And during an interview with CBS, she spoke about what it was like to execute a show during one of the most-watched annual television events.
“The Super Bowl Halftime Show is one of the biggest moments you can imagine as a performer and as an artist,” she shared. “I remember growing up watching the Super Bowl with my family, and it’s an event that families come together and watch. I knew I had to make the best of the moment and I wanted it to be something iconic and something that people will never forget.
“I dreamt the performance before it happened. We went through so many different drafts, we made changes every day. We tweaked every day. We wanted to perfect every day.”
Super Bowl 50, which sees National Football League teams the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos battle it out on the field for the trophy, begins at 3:30pm Pacific Standard Time on Sunday (7Feb16). British band Coldplay will be headlining the Halftime Show this year, with Bruno Mars and Beyonce serving as supporting acts.
