DJ Calvin Harris is recovering after a car crash on Friday night.
The 32-year-old – real name Adam Wiles – was forced to pull out of a gig in Las Vegas at the last minute after he was hospitalised following the accident.
But his representative has since assured fans the Scottish star is OK, writing: “Adam’s transport was involved in a collision this evening on the way to the airport. As a result he will be unable to perform at Omnia tonight. He has been examined by doctors and told to rest for a few days.”
Calvin – who is dating singer Taylor Swift – returned home to his Beverly Hills compound following the drama.
Sources tell TMZ a Volkswagen Beetle convertible, allegedly driven by a 16-year-old female, veered into oncoming traffic and hit the sports utility vehicle, in which Harris was a passenger, and the impact caused the star to suffer a laceration to his face.
The accident has also led Calvin to pull out of his headline slot at Alabama’s Hangout Music Fest on Saturday night (21May16).
“Calvin Harris is unable to perform tonight,” the festival’s Twitter account wrote on Saturday. “All of us at Hangout wish him and everyone involved in last night’s collision a speedy recovery.”
Panic! At the Disco, who were scheduled to perform before Calvin, have stepped up to fill the headline slot.
The band also took to Twitter before the show, writing: “Wishing all involved in last night’s accident a speedy recovery and hope we do you proud, Calvin.”
Harris has rescheduled his performance at Omnia nightclub for next Friday.
