The count down to ‘The Voice’ Frank Sinatra’s centenary birthday has begun! The icon would have been celebrating his 100th birthday this Saturday 12 December and in celebration, Universal Music shines a light some of his greatest records.
Available now, Ultimate Sinatra is a 25-track CD that brings together for the first time ever, a career-spanning collection of Sinatra’s timeless music. This CD presents key recordings from Sinatra’s time with Columbia, Capitol and Reprise. It also features previously unreleased Sinatra recordings and comes in Deluxe 4CD and 2LP vinyl formats.
FSE/Universal Music has reissued three classic 1965 Sinatra albums worldwide on 180-gram vinyl to commemorate their 50th anniversaries. The essential albums – Sinatra ’65, Album Of The Year GRAMMY Award® winners September Of My Years and 2LP Sinatra: A Man And His Music were originally released on Sinatra’s own Reprise label. The commemorative vinyl reissues are presented with faithfully replicated original artwork, including A Man And His Music’s 2LP gatefold sleeve.
Not only that, a limited 10” vinyl of Swing Easy! Sinatra’s eight studio album originally release in 1954 has also been released. A collection of up-tempo swingers as the title implies, the album includes tracks such as ‘All of Me’ and ‘Just One of Those Things’, which showcases Sinatra’s increasingly playful and textured vocal style.
