Australian country star Imogen Clark has signed with prestigious alt-Country label Lost Highway for the release of her debut album in 2016.
“When the opportunity to sign with Lost Highway came up, I was thrilled,” she said, “because of the label’s amazing heritage and their commitment to nurturing songwriters in the alt country genre. It’s incredibly exciting to be joining a roster of artists who I greatly admire. I’m looking forward to joining the family.”
Imogen has already amassed a fanbase of musicians. “Imogen is a songwriter well beyond her years with a flawless voice that is mesmerising. At just 20, she is already an old soul,” said Kasey Chambers.
“Imogen is a really honest songwriter, a total class act, and all round champion. I was honoured to be part of this project, and I’m so proud to hear that she’s been picked up by Lost Highway,” added Harry Hookey.
“Among the most talented young songwriters I have heard in years. She has enormous potential, is very engaging, sings beautifully, and writes with a maturity well beyond her years,” said Mike McLellan.
The Australian roster of Lost Highway includes Adam Eckersely Band, Mustered Courage, Ruby Boots, Catherine Britt and Shane Nicholson.
Imogen Clark will showcase at The Basement in Sydney on November 18.
