Kanye West reportedly banned cameras from the delivery room when Kim Kardashian gave birth to their son.
The 35-year-old reality star and her rapper husband welcomed their second child, little boy Saint, on Saturday and it’s been confirmed that mother and baby are doing well. Kim’s famous family are often surrounded by cameras thanks to their TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians and various spin-offs, but TMZ reports there wasn’t a lens in sight for the birth of Saint. This is apparently because Kanye prevented any filming, and it’s also thought Saint won’t appear on any of the clan’s programmes until he is older.
TMZ sources suggest the couple will keep their son away from the TV spotlight until he “develops an awareness”, which is what they did with their daughter North, now two. She was kept off the small screen for the first year of her life, and even now only appears on select episodes of Kim’s TV shows.
Much has been said about Kim and Kanye’s choice of name for their new arrival and social media is jam-packed with opinions about it. A source tells E! News they chose the moniker because Saint is a “blessing” after Kim had “such a difficult pregnancy”. The brunette beauty has been vocal about how much she struggled during both pregnancies, and recently admitted she feels “awful” when with child, as she suffers from a condition which affects the placenta.
Kim’s sister Khloé was one of the first to meet the pair’s bundle of joy on Sunday (06Dec15) and took part in an online live-stream over the weekend (05-06Dec15) to update fans. “My little nephew was born. He is so cute and so perfect,” she shared in a video. “I love him. And mommy and daddy are doing fantastic.”
