Leo Sayer and Lulu will team up for the first time for an Australian tour in June.
Lulu was still a teenager when she had a global hit with the theme from ‘To Sir With Love’.
“I am beyond excited to be coming to Australia for these gigs and sharing the stage with Leo,” Lulu said in a statement. “Leo Sayer is musically the real deal so bring it on I can’t wait” said Lulu from the backstage of her first show of her current 35 date UK tour”.
The legendary Leo Sayer, now an Australian resident, had his first hit ‘The Show Must Go On’ in 1973.
Leo went on to have more than a dozen hits including two US number ones ‘You Make Me Feel Like Dancing’ and ‘When I Need You’.
Leo said, “Lulu was already an icon when I came on the scene and I’ve been a huge fan ever since. We’re good pals and I can’t wait to welcome her to Australia.”
