Iggy Azalea published a brand new song on Saturday (9Jan16) and she has also promised fans even more fresh work is headed their way in February (16).
The 25-year-old Australian rapper posted tune Azillion on online audio sharing platform Soundcloud, writing in the track’s caption: “*BUZZ TRACK… 4 MY RATZ*”.
News outlet Celebuzz referred to the song as Azalea’s new “single” on their Twitter page, but she quickly corrected them, writing in a tweet: “its (sic) just a buzz track – new single end of feb! but thanks for posting this guys!”.
It is unknown at this time what tune from her second studio album Digital Distortion she is planning on releasing as a single next month.
In December (15) Azalea revealed the process of recording Digital Distortion has been pretty challenging for many reasons.
“I dont really know what im doing with my music release; but im finished (except for getting the features recorded) (sic),” she wrote in a series of Twitter messages. “Right now i live in america and am very close to the Def Jam team; but im actually signed out of the UK. Things are complicated.
“Im ready with my music but i am also trying to restructure some things to work smoother and better for me.”
Azalea has a lot on her plate at this time, as she is also planning her wedding to professional basketball player Nick Young. The couple announced their engagement in June 2015, but the only known detail about their nuptials is that Demi Lovato will be Azalea’s bridesmaid.
During an interview with Billboard, Young revealed although wedding planning has been a “nightmare” so far, his future wife’s new album Digital Distortion will be a dream come true for fans.
“Aw man, it’s gonna be the best album of 2016,” he gushed. “I got my Swaggy P feature on it so that’s why it’s gon’ blow up. I see how hard she be in the studio and I heard a couple songs. Couple surprises and a lot of features on there. It’ll be dope.”
