Zakk Wylde has released a sample of what to expect on his second solo album ‘Book of Shadows II’.
‘Book of Shadows II’ is the sequel to Zakk’s previous solo album ‘Book of Shadows’, released 20 years ago in 1996 when Zakk was 29 years old.
Zakk Wylde has a different solo sound to what you expect from when you listen to his work with Black Label Society and Ozzy Osbourne. Solo, Wylde is more introspective and acoustic. ‘Lost Prayer’ is more country, blues and roots than Wylde’s usual metal.
Wylde succeeded Randy Rhodes in Ozzy Osbourne’s band and co-write the Osbourne hits ‘Mama I’m Coming Home’ and ‘No More Tears’. Wylde also co-wrote Osbourne’s biggest selling album ‘Ozzmosis’ and earned a Grammy with Osbourne for ‘I Don’t Want To Change The World’.
‘Book of Souls II’ will be released on April 8, 2016.
