Jade Alice, the winner of the Melbourne Music Bank prize, will officially release her winning song ‘Kick Drum’ in February.
Jade Alice was the 2015 winner of the Melbourne Music Bank prize and performed the song at the final. “The melody for the song ‘Kick Drum’ actually came to me in a dream,” she said. “The song is about a feeling of uncontrollable happiness; a feeling I hope resonates with others when they listen to it. The greatest reward for me as a musician is evoking the same emotion in people that I feel when I’m writing the song.”
The Melbourne Music Bank finalists were judged by an expert panel featuring campaign ambassador Ella Hooper, Bank of Melbourne Head of Brand and Marketing Jac Phillips, PBS Homebrew host Maddy Mac, 123 Agency Director Damo Costin, Varrasso PR Director Frank Varrasso and Manager Chris Robinson.
Jade Alice will launch ‘Kick Drum’ on February 18 at Shebeen in Melbourne.
