Monique diMattina has rescheduled her ‘Everybody Loves Somebody’ album launch for February 13 in Melbourne.
Prior to returning to Melbourne Monique was based in New York. Over four years in NYC she worked with Lou Reed, Bjork, Jimmy Cobb and the bands of Peter Gabriel, Suzanne Vega and Norah Jones, and recorded her 1st album ‘Live at the 55’ at the iconic 55 Bar in Greenwich Village.
Monique completed her Masters thesis on Miles Davis pianist Wynton Kelly, played recitals for dignitaries including Bill Clinton and Vaclav Havel, ran the New York Marathon, maintained an addiction to Gus’s Dill Pickles and participated in wild Obama victory celebrations.
The new album ‘Everybody Loves Somebody’ features Paul Williamson on saxophones/clarinet, James dig-it Sherlock on acoustic guitar, Howard Supreme Cairns on double bass and album producer Marty Brown (Clare Bowditch, Art of Fighting) on drums and percussion,
Monique diMattina will perform at Bennett’s Lane Jazz Club in Melbourne on February 13, 2016. Tickets are $25 (plus booking fee here).
