One of Australia’s greatest jazz singers Monique diMattina will launch her new album ‘Everybody Loves Somebody’ at Bennetts Lane Jazz Club in Melbourne in November.
Monique’s resume listed time spent working with Lou Reed, Bjork and Peter Gabriel as well as bands for Norah Jones and Suzanne Vega. Her first album ‘Live At The 55’ was recorded in New York at the iconic 55 Bar in Greenwich Village.
In 2009 Monique returned to Australia and recorded three albums for Joe Camilleri’s JazzHead label.
3RRR listeners in Melbourne will know her for her ‘Shaken Not Rehearsed’ segment for Vital Bits where he wrote and performed a song within the hour.
