A worldwide petition has started to rename a Jack Daniels and Coke ‘a Lemmy’.
The Twitter page @GimmeaLemmy has been created for the project.
At the change.org petition site it says, “A Jack Daniels and Coke will forever be associated with Ian Fraser “Lemmy” Kilmister, the iconic founder of Motorhead. To celebrate and remember one of Rock and Roll’s true legends, I petition everyone to henceforth and hereafter refer to the combination of Jack Daniels Whiskey and Coca-Cola as a “Lemmy”.”
So far over 10,000 Lemmy fans have added their name to the petition.
Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead died on 28 December 2015 just four days after his 70th birthday. He had only been diagnosed with cancer two days earlier.
The service for Lemmy will take place in Hollywood at 3pm this Saturday (LA time). The memorial will be streamed live.
In Melbourne fans can head to the Cherry Bar to watch the service live. Lemmys will be served from 10am Sunday for $5.
