Powderfinger To Reform Tonight?

by Paul Cashmere on November 7, 2015

in Live,New Music,News

At least three fifths of Powderfinger will reform tonight in Brisbane and if the word on the street is correct, Bernard Fanning may make it close to a full-on reunion.

Darren Middleton will be launching his second solo album ‘Splinters’ at Brisbane venue The Triffid tonight (November 7, 2015). The Triffid’s owner is Powerfinger’s John Collins who has confirmed a number of guests including himself and Powderfinger’s Ian Haug will be joining their former bandmate Darren Middleton on stage for the show.

In fact a post at The Triffid Facebook page states “that’s 3 out of 5 members of Powderfinger and word on the street is Bernard is back in town. More surprise guests to be announced, don’t miss out”.

The Middleton ‘Splinters’ launch in Brisbane tonight will also include guests Mark Wilson (Jet), Marty Brown (Clare Bowditch), Sahara Beck, Karl S. Williams – Musical Fool, Mia Wray Music and Annie Peterson with support from Avaberée and Deena.

Guests on ‘Splinters’ include Missy Higgins, Guy Pearce, Talei Wolfgramm, Sahara Beck, Mia Wray, Marty Brown, Shannon Birchall, The Monash University Choral Society, Lachy Doley, Nick DiDia and Numpark Ranadist.
