Prince announced just yesterday he was coming to Australia. He will be here in just over a week and the venues are incredible.

Prince will perform his intimate Piano & A Microphone shows for 10 shows only, two shows a day in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, in theatres starting at Melbourne’s State Theatre on February 16 with a second show on the 17th.

In Sydney he will perform February 20 at the Sydney Opera House and then the next night at the State Theatre. His fifth date is February 24 in Auckland, New Zealand at the ASB Theatre. It will be his first time ever performing in New Zealand.

Tickets will go on sale for all Australian shows at 12 noon AEDT on Tuesday February 9, 2016 and for the New Zealand shows at 12 noon NZDT on Thursday February 11, 2016.

Prince will only perform these 10 shows in total for Australia and New Zealand on this tour.

According to promoter Paul Dainty, “The repertoire will be culled from Prince’s vast 39-album catalogue and each performance will have a unique set-list that evolves in real time, song-to-song. Fans should expect to witness special interpretations of well-known hits alongside rarely performed B-sides and new, never-before-heard material”.

Prince performed the first of the Piano & a Microphone shows at his Paisley Park recording studio in January.
