Ned Miller, who had the 1957 classic ‘From A Jack To A King’ has died at the age of 90.
Miller’s song went unnoticed for five years until it was reissued in 1962 and became a Top 10 hit in the USA.
Elvis Presley also covered From A Jack To A King.
Miller also wrote ‘Invisible Tears’, recorded by Connie Smith, Ray Conniff Singers, Bobby Bare and Charles Manson.
Despite his 60s success Miller lost interest in the music business and gave up recording in the 1970s. He recorded his final album ‘Ned Miller’s Back’ in 1970.
