Tim Armstrong, the frontman foe US punk band Rancid, is the supernatural killer in this week’s episode of ‘The X-Files’.
Armstrong plays Trashman, a grotesque monster killer who rips his victims apart and buries some of the parts in a garbage truck.
Episode 4 of the new X-Files is titled ‘Home Again’ and is homage to an episode 20 years ago titled ‘Home’. The original episode from October 1996 was written by Glen Morgan who returned to write this episode.
Rancid released their last album ‘Honor Is All We Know’ in 2014. Armstrong is also part of numerous other bands including The Transplants with Rob Aston and Travis Barker. He has produced works for Jimmy Cliff, Pink, AFI and The Matches.
Glen Morgan cast Armstrong as Trashman because he was a Rancid fan.
