Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are back together, at least for one new song.
On Wednesday, CBS released a video for their song Light of a Christmas Day which is actually more of a promo for the new film Love the Coopers than a straight music video, but it does give us a chance to hear the new song.
Plant and Krauss cleaned up at the 2009 Grammy Awards for their collaboration, Raising Sand, which was actually released in October 2007 (it’s all in the way the Recording Academy times their awards eligibility and season). This is their first work together since that time.
Love the Coopers (Christmas With the Coopers in the U.K.), which opens on November 13, stars John Goodman, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried, Alan Arkin, Olivia Wild, Ed Helms, Marissa Tomei and June Squibb.
The soundtrack album for the film also includes veteran artists Otis Redding (Merry Christmas, Baby), Bob Dylan (Girl From the North Country, If Not For You), Sting (Soul Cake) and Nina Simone (To Love Somebody).
