The Rolling Stones have performed their 60s classic ‘She’s A Rainbow’ for only the 11th time ever at the start of their Latin American tour in Santiago, Chile.
‘She’s A Rainbow’ was the best song from widely agreed to be the worst Stones album ‘Their Satanic Majesties Request’. ‘Satanic Majesties’ was a mess of an album with The Stones trying to outdo The Beatles earlier ‘Sgt Pepper’ and failing miserably. The ‘Sgt Pepper’ masterpiece was inspired by the Beach Boy masterpiece ‘Pet Sounds’ but what lifted the Beatles to a new level sunk the Stones to an all-time low. They would not record another disaster until 1986’s ‘Dirty Work’.
‘She’s A Rainbow’ was a brilliant moment in a ‘Satanic Majesties’ muddle.
