Ross Hannaford’s ‘Hanna’ album launch was postponed last night )10 Dec 15) because of the legendary Australian guitarist’s health.
Hanna has put in a tremendous fight against cancer this year. Instead of stopping work he has thrown himself into a new album and spends every moment he can at gigs and on stage at friend’s shows.
Tonight was meant to be the launch of the ‘Hanna’ album, the first ever solo album for the Daddy Cool guitarist.
Ross expects to reschedule the show ASAP.
An official announcement reads, “Sadly Ross Hannaford is too unwell to perform tonight…and the launch will be postponed until next week…depending on Ross’s health improving.
“Yesterday Ross rehearsed with the band and was on track to perform at his launch this evening. His health took a sudden turn for the worst today and this afternoon it was determined he’s just too unwell to perform. A decision on the actual new date will be made in the next few days. We hope everyone can understand the predicament that Ross is in regarding his health.
We hope all ticket holders can hold off on obtaining a refund until Monday when a decision and date will be announced.
“Everyone, including Ross is very disappointed ..
“This message has been emailed to all ticket holders as soon as the news came in.
“We appreciate your understanding and patience. Everyone loves Ross and although it was considered for the Critters to go on tonight there is no substitute for Ross Hannaford and it simply isn’t a launch without him there. . Please refrain from calling the venue as this is all the information we have at this time.
“All ticket holders will be contacted once more information is known”.
