Sinéad O’Connor’s Facebook page has been reactivated after the singer’s angry, suicidal posts prompted platform bosses to shut it down earlier this week.

The account was deleted on Wednesday after Sinéad alarmed fans and followers with attacks on her family members, details of an alleged overdose attempt and a suicide note.

But she was back on social media on Friday, and appeared to be in a much more positive place. “I will rise, and I will return; the Phoenix from the flame,” she wrote in her return post. “I have learned.”

She also attached a message to the top of her Facebook account, linked to the video for Troy, her song which contains those lyrics.

She also wrote: “Beneath every strong, independent woman lies a broken little girl who had to learn to get back up & to never depend on anyone.”

Her positivity was applauded by fans, who offered up their support to Sinéad in a series of upbeat posts, urging her to take care of herself.

Many of her previous, disturbing posts have been deleted, but one, which reads “I need a total C**t of a family lawyer. If you are one, or know one, based in Dublin… can you contact me as matter of utmost urgency please at [email protected]” still remained.

Sinéad, who has bipolar disorder, was reportedly hospitalised after suffering an overdose at the weekend as she struggled with family drama following a recent hysterectomy.

She garnered international attention on Sunday after posting what appeared to be a suicide note, which read: “The last two nights finished me off. I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in ireland, under another name.”

Irish police officials tracked her down and she was found “safe and sound” and taken to hospital to receive medical assistance.
