Duane McDonald’s Sounds By The River, a part of Regional Touring’s upcoming Red Hot Summer roster of music events, has won a South Australian Tourism Award for Best Festivals and Events.

“Tonight I won the South Australian Tourism award for Best Festival/Event for 2015 for the Mannum Red Hot Summer Tour show. We call it Sounds By The River over there as its on the Murray. Bloody wrapt,” Duane told Noise11.com.

Sounds By The River started in 2009, with its focus to encourage visitors to Mannum and give them the opportunity to experience the vibrancy and life of the Murray River. It is now a successful annual summer event that entertains, assists in raising awareness of river communities, while showcasing one of South Australia’s most iconic waterways. The outdoor event enables patrons to experience beautiful and intimate surroundings with family and friends, while enjoying entertainment from some of the best talent in the Australian music industry.
