Apparently The Cars released an album in 2011. ‘Move Like This’ came and went and no-one took any notice … until now.
The 2011 album for The Cars was yet another Universal Music blunder put out with no marketing or promotion through the Concord Music section of the business.
After five years the lead song ‘Sad Song’ has only had around 54,000 YouTube views.
The song will get another lease of life on the new ‘Moving In Stereo : The Best of the Cars’ album , out this week via the much more pro-active Warner Music Group label Rhino.
Rhino have released ‘Moving In Stereo’ as a single CD and 2LP vinyl release. The collection also includes a new live version of ‘Everything You Say’, also from Move Like This.
