Three members of Dayton, Ohio band Counterflux have lost their lives in a car crash.
Guitarist Earl Miller, singer Devin Bachmann and guitarist Kyle Canter and friend of the band Vashti Nicole Brown died on Interstate 75 when a drunk driver going in the wrong direction crashed into their vehicle. The drunk driver of the other vehicle also died.
The drunk driver was arrested just two days earlier after being involved in another accident while intoxicated.
In a statement at Facebook, band member Aleks Clayborn posted, “I’m sure most of you have heard by now, but for those of you who haven’t, we lost Earl, Kyle, and Devin early this morning. There’s nothing worse than losing friends, family or otherwise.
“These guys became like brothers to Matt and myself. Our hearts and prayers go out to their families, no parent should ever have to go through this, ever.
“These guys loved you, the fans, the friends, the family. And to honor them Matt and I have decided to finish the Album we started together. It will be a last Hoorah and one of the best things we can think of to honor our lost brothers.
“Please when you’re out at the bar, whether your playing a show, checking out a show or what have you, take a designated driver if you plan to drink, or call a cab. Your actions and choices affect more than just you and though a totaled car can be replaced a life cannot”.
I'm sure most of you have heard by now, but for those of you who haven't, we lost Earl, Kyle, and Devin early this…
