Chris Brown has argued he works “three times harder” than his peers in a new Twitter rant.
Brown, who has had various run-ins with the law over the years, famously assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 – is busy promoting his album Royalty, released on 18 December (15) and named after his young daughter. He took to his Twitter account on Wednesday (23Dec15) to drum up support from fans, asking them to consider all his hard graft.
“I work 3 times harder than anyone of my peers,” he argued.
“Name 1 person who directs and writes his whole video ideas, dance, sing, paint, Etc. ???
“I just demand my respect as an entertainer #BringRoyaltyHomeForTheHolidays #believeinyourself #BUYROYALTY (sic).”
Chris, 26, also took the opportunity to call out “fake” fans, who pretend to support him but don’t pay out for his music. However, he made it clear he appreciates all the followers who truly have his back.
“Not afraid of losing. But I’m terrified of stopping! #believeinyourself,” he posted.
“TEAM BREEZY! I’m counting on you all to change the world. I appreciate the real fans.
“If I fail on my own I can can (sic) learn from that. I will not allow someone else to dictate my faith in God. Believe in yourself
“Every one (sic) who follows me and has fake pages being fake supporters is a lil bogus. BUYMYS**T.”
Currently, Chris’ album has failed to make the top 100 on the iTunes Chart. Festive compilation Now That’s What I Call Christmas holds the top spot, while Adele’s 25 sits at number two. The deluxe version of Justin Bieber’s Purpose is at number three.
