Aretha Franklin performed Natalie Cole’s ‘Inseparable’ as a tribute to the late singer.
“We will always remember this very classy and sophisticated lady,” the Queen of Soul said. “I just wanted to play a few bars of one of her million selling records and let us have a moment in silence for the very talented and gifted Miss Natalie Cole.”
Natalie Cole died on December 31, 2015 at age 65. The cause of death has been listed as heart failure.
Just days earlier Aretha was paying tribute to Carole King with a performance that brought President Obama to tears.
