Reports are emerging that Lana Rae Meisner, the wife of former Eagles member Randy Meisner, was shot in the head and killed in the couple’s home in Los Angeles.
According to Radar Online, Los Angeles police were called to the home earlier on Sunday evening on a domestic violence call but left without arrest.
About an hour later, Meisner called police and told them Lana had been “stumbling around” in a closet looking for something when a gun that was stored there fell. Lana allegedly grabbed the gun as it fell, it discharged and hit her in the head.
According to police, there are surveillance cameras in the house which will be reviewed.
Last April, the couple denied that Lana was force feeding Randy vodka. Meisner was placed in a conservatorship due to his mental state after the singer had threatened to kill himself or harm others.
Randy and Lana were married in 1996 after being together for twelve years. Meisner was a member of Poco (1968 to 1970) and the Eagles (1971 to 1977) along with being a solo artist.
