Having toured Japan in February earlier this year, My Bloody Valentine managed to sell out each of their five dates, before making their way to Australia where they performed at All Tomorrow’s Parties, with a string of side shows. Prior to their shows in February, it had been 22 years since MBV toured Japan.

The shoegaze icons, who formed in 1983, will join the incredible line up for Fuji Rock 2013, which is now 92 artists strong, with more to be announced. Other major draw cards to this years festival include Bjork, The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Jurassic 5, Skrillex, The xx, DJ Shadow, Foals and Flying Lotus… not to mention Australian fore-runners, Tame Impala.

Fuji Rock runs over three nights; July 26 – 28, with The Cure to close the festival for this year.
