After taking 22 years off between their second and third full length albums, Kevin Shields and My Bloody Valentine seem to have the itch to record again.
In an interview with Pitchfork, Shields said he regrets the number of projects he has actually released. “As I get older, I realize a lot of the things I could have done– things that I didn’t think were so great at the time– actually would have been enjoyable. I do need to loosen up a bit, and that usually does come with old age. That’s the intention.”
Shields went on to talk about a number of new projects:
– Three unreleased tracks from their third album, 2012’s mvb
– An EP of all new material
– Analog remastering of Loveless, Isn’t Anything and the group’s EP’s
A new internet site with rarities and special music for those that have purchased My Bloody Valentine albums.
