MY DISCO have had a great decade, with three albums, shows all over the world and general adulation from anyone who has seen them live and still has their hearing in tact. So what better way to celebrate than with a hometown gig?
The band – who pretty much define the adjective “angular” when used in conjunction with music – will hit The Corner Hotel with friends New War, Standish / Carlyon, Max Crumbs, Absolute Boys, Brain Children and a super-secret special guest that will be announced in the future.
The show will see the band preview new stuff and it will be one of the only shows the band plays next year. No word on an album yet, but they’re about due for one. Their last one Little Joy was released in 2010.
The gig will take place at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne on February 8, 2013. Tickets are $22 + b/f, which is a bargain for that many bands.
