Concerts in Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart and Perth have just been added to iconic sextet My Friend The Chocolate Cake’s upcoming national tour.
The Winter Revival Tour, which was announced last month, will now take in the Gardens Theatre at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane on Friday 6 July, the Dunstan Playhouse at the Adelaide Festival Centre on Saturday 7 July, the Peacock Theatre at the Salamanca Arts Centre in Hobart on Saturday 28 July and the Heath Ledger Theatre at the State Theatre Centre of WA in Perth on Friday 17 August.
After a successful tour last year, 2018 will see the band’s latest album The Revival Meeting back on the road by popular demand, with the new songs already at home nestled amongst old favourites live.
My Friend the Chocolate Cake have decided to put the band on the back burner for a few years in order to pursue solo projects, travel the world, and eat more cake. So this will be the last chance to see them for at least this decade!
The song writing genius of David Bridie combined with the glorious strings of Helen Mountfort’s cello and Hope Csutoros’ violin are high in the curious collision of elements that have made My Friend The Chocolate Cake a big concert draw, triple ARIA winners and a vivid presence on countless film and TV soundtracks for more than two and a half decades.
