Neil Young together with Elvis Costello, My Morning Jacket and Jenny Lewis performed a tribute to Lou Reed at the Bridge School Concert in Mountain View, California on Sunday.
The combo performed ‘Oh! Sweet Nuthin’ for Lou. The song was originally recorded by Lou Reed with the Velvet Underground in 1970 and featured on the band’s ‘Loaded’ album but the original song was vocals by Doug Yule, not Lou Reed.
Reed performed at Young’s 1997 Bridge School Concert.
Neil and Pegi Young founded the Bridge School Concerts as a fundraiser for their children’s school. The first concert was held on October 13, 1986.
