Nelly Furtado has made an impressive comeback with her new album ‘Loose’ debuting at No. 1 this week in the USA.
The album sold more than 220,000 units last week, more than double that from the no. 2 record, ‘Define The Great Line’ by Underoath.
The Canadian singer had her first big hit in 2000 with ‘Fly Like A Bird’ and considerable success with the album ‘Whoa Nelly’ but her second album ‘Folklore’ in 2003 flopped.
‘Loose’ is a reinvention of the Furtado sound with producer Timbaland taking over control.
It is the first time Nelly has had a number one album.
