The new comedy ‘Yesterday’ is a film about a world were The Beatles never existed, except for one man, Jack Malik.

Yesterday is the latest film by ‘Trainspotting’ and ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ director Danny Boyle. The movie stars Himesh Patel as a struggling musician trying for his big break. That big break comes literally in a bicycle accident when he is hit by a bus and transformed into a world where The Beatles never existed (except for him). He steals the songs and becomes a star.

The film has cameos from Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr as well as funny bits with James Corden and Ed Sheehan playing themselves.

Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon plays Mandi, the US music executive who becomes Malik’s manager.

‘Yesterday’ will premiere on June 28, 2019.
