Van Halen’s new song ‘Tattoo’ will surface on January 10 kicking off a year of activity for the band including their first album with David Lee Roth in 28 years.
VHND.com reports that a video for ‘Tattoo’ will also premiere on January 10 followed by the album on February 7. The video was shot in November at the Roxy on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood where they had been rehearsing for the tour for the past two months.
The yet-to-be titled album (yes they are keeping that one a well kept secret) is the first with Eddie Van Halen’s 20-year old son Wolfgang on bass, the first Van Halen since 1998 and the first with Roth since 1984.
Van Halen is rumoured to be playing at the 250 capacity Café Wha in Greenwich Village, New York this Thursday (January 5). The venue was once owned by David Lee Roth’s uncle Manny Roth and was were acts like Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and Bill Cosby got their start.
